Technip operates a spoolbase ideally located in Orkanger, near Trondheim on the west coast of Norway to service the mid-Norwegian Shelf developments planned for the coming years. About 1100 km of pipeline, typically ranging in size from 6 - to 16-inches in diameter, has been produced since operations began in 1995. When carrying out subsea projects in the region, Technip's reeled pipelay vessel Apache spools pipe at the Orkanger Spoolbase. Typically 10 - 20 km of pipeline can be spooled on each trip. |
